The City of Alexandria Academy Programs are educational opportunities designed to inform, educate, engage and provide those who live or work in the City a better understanding of local government operations and services available to the community. Information and experiences gained will encourage participants to help foster a thriving Alexandria and help create meaningful opportunities to participate in local government in many different ways.

Since 2019, the expansion of the Pendleton Steet site construction footprint has been planned and coordinated with the community and City of Alexandria. Until now construction activities have been east of Union Street allowing RiverRenew crews to maintain access to the public right-of-way and Oronoco Bay Park. As we approach the final phases of construction, our construction footprint will be slightly expanded into Oronoco Bay Park and Pendleton/Union Streets.
