Lake Cook Pocket Park
The Eisenhower Valley Parks Collaborative received a Community Matching Funds grant from the City of Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) in November 2022. These funds will be used to implement several recommendations for the Lake Cook Pocket Park identified in the Pocket Parks Improvement Plan 2020.

Holland Lane Public Input Opportunity
The City of Alexandria is initiating a project to improve mobility, access, and safety for all roadway users of all ages and abilities on Holland Lane between Duke Street and Eisenhower Avenue. The City has heard concerns from residents about pedestrian safety on Holland Lane, and the adopted Alexandria Mobility Plan calls for improved bicycle access on this corridor.
Eisenhower Avenue Transportation Study
The City of Alexandria was chosen this summer by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) to evaluate needs and opportunities for improving safety, mobility, and accessibility along the Eisenhower Avenue corridor.

Take the 2023 Carlyle Community Survey
Each year the Carlyle Council is required to survey our employees and residents to see how they commute. This survey is open to those who either live or work in the Carlyle Community of Alexandria. Your responses will tell us how you travel to work so we can better target our programs to encourage you to take public transportation, walk, bike or share a ride, instead of driving alone. Your input is very valuable to the success of Carlyle’s Transportation Management Program (TMP).
