Plug In Alexandria
Applications are now open for the next round of Plug In Alexandria, a City program that helps multi-family residential communities, nonprofit organizations, and places of worship install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations through expert guidance and financial assistance. New for 2026, nonprofit organizations and places of worship are now eligible to participate.
Accepted applicants receive technical assistance from an industry expert and may qualify for reimbursement grants of up to $10,000 or $15,000 for organizations located in a Low Income Community census tract to help cover eligible installation costs.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with the next evaluation deadline on September 21, 2026. Organizations are encouraged to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to support cleaner transportation and a more sustainable Alexandria.
